Rustins Grain Filler – Wood Pore Filler for Smooth Finishes

Rustins Grain Filler is supplied as a paste, thinned with white spirit for use. It is applied to wood before finishing to fill pores and prevent the sinking of lacquer or oil finishes. Available in Mahogany, Natural, Oak, and Teak shades, it ensures a smooth, even surface ready for polishing, staining, or coating. The Natural shade can also be tinted with Rustins Wood Dye, allowing filling and staining to be carried out in one operation.

For guitar building and refinishing, grain filler is essential when working with open-pored woods such as mahogany or ash. It helps achieve a flat, mirror-like surface that enhances the clarity and gloss of lacquer or oil finishes, ensuring professional-quality results on guitar bodies and necks.

Apply in a well-ventilated area and follow all manufacturer instructions for preparation and use.
