Fuzzy Duck is a new UK brand specialising in handmade pickups. The ethos behind Fuzzy Duck is to deliver no-compromise high-end pickups at a realistic price point.
Made up of product designers and guitar enthusiasts, the team is working hard on developing new pickups through experimentation and reverse engineering, as well as reproducing classic styles, all with the highest quality materials. You don’t need anything more than what Fuzzy Duck has to offer.
After the overwhelming success of the silver series the team have pushed harder to develop what they consider the ultimate Strat pickup.
Introducing Fuzzy Duck™ Gold Series
These handmade pickups are designed to produce the sound of a vintage 60s Strat with a lot of attention to detail.
Made with the perfect blend of Alnico II and V poles, these pickups have period correct magnet stagger and produce a warm smooth vintage tone without sounding too deep and muddy. Alnico 5 magnets have been used to keep the low end focused whilst Alnico 2 magnets keep the high end sounding warm and rich.
For the Gold Duck Series, The middle pickup is RWRP (reverse wind reverse polarity) for hum-cancelling in positions 2 & 4. Whilst the bridge pickup is slightly overwound to give a hotter output which helps to provide tonal balance to the set.
The Gold Series come wax potted and have waxed cloth wire as per vintage Fender Spec.
