Building your dream guitar? Here we have a Guitar Anatomy 2-piece American alder Jazzmaster body. This body features a high-quality Buttercream Nitro Satin finish, built to standard Jazzmaster dimensions for reliable compatibility and straightforward assembly.
We use hand-selected hardwoods for all of our bodies and necks to ensure structural integrity and consistent resonance. Our alder bodies are selected to balance tonal depth and clarity, delivering the classic response associated with traditional Jazzmaster-style builds.
This body is finished in an extremely high-quality Vintage nitro satin, giving a classic vintage look and feel.

All bodies are fully CNC-routed and hand finished for accurate fit and alignment. Pickup cavities, control cavities, tremolo cavity, and neck pockets are routed to standard Jazzmaster dimensions, allowing straightforward installation of compatible components.
Certain models may be supplied without pre-drilled bridge or tremolo mounting holes. This is intentional, providing flexibility to position and install your preferred hardware with precision. Body Fitment & Finish
Will this body fit my guitar neck?
Our bodies are compatible with Guitar Anatomy necks and popular US, Mexican and Japanese necks. This often includes many aftermarket necks too, but neck heels can vary between manufacturers, so please always check the heel measurements before ordering. If you are unsure, message us on live chat or send us an email via our contact form and we can help confirm fitment.
What finish options do you offer?
This varies by product. We offer unfinished bodies that are ready for oiling, staining or lacquer, as well as finished bodies. Our nitro lacquer bodies are satin finished, while our polyurethane bodies are gloss finished. Please check the individual product description carefully for the specific finish on each body.
Are your nitro bodies finished in pure nitro lacquer?
Our nitro-finished bodies are finished with nitro lacquer, but we apply a polyurethane undercoat first to help stabilise the wood and reduce the risk of cracking during transport. The body can still be reliced. If you would like more information about the finish on a specific body, please message us on live chat or send us an email.
What will show underneath if I relic the finish?
Most of our finished bodies have a clear undercoat, so the wood will show first when relicing. For some colours, we apply a coloured undercoat to help achieve the correct final colour. Do you offer pre-drilling services?
Yes, we can offer selected pre-drilling services at an additional cost. This can be useful if you want help preparing the body for a specific bridge, neck or hardware setup. Please message us on live chat or send us an email before ordering for more information.
What bridges fit your Telecaster-compatible bodies?
Our Telecaster-compatible bodies are made for traditional Tele ashtray bridges due to the position of the pre-drilled string-through holes. They can be converted to fit a modern bridge as a DIY modification, but this may require additional drilling or adjustment. If you are unsure which bridge to use, please message us on live chat or send us an email and we can advise before you order.
What wood are the bodies made from, and how many pieces are used?
We use solid, sustainably sourced American alder for our alder guitar bodies, and we also offer unfinished ash and mahogany bodies. Where stated, we use 2-piece alder bodies. If the product description does not state 2-piece, the body will usually be 3-piece. This is still above typical industry standard, as many manufacturers use 5 or 6 pieces of wood. Fewer pieces can improve resonance and may contribute to a better-sounding guitar.
Is the colour in the product image accurate?
Yes, the product image shows a real image of the body and is edited to be Pantone accurate. However, screen settings can vary, so colour may appear slightly different depending on your device. Can I choose a specific grain pattern or figuring?
If you are looking for a specific grain style, figuring or wood appearance, we may be able to hand-select a body from the available batch. Please message us on live chat or send us an email before ordering and we’ll let you know what is available.
Will the body need any setup or final fitting?
Our bodies are fully quality control checked by a luthier before dispatch and are ready to go out of the box. If your chosen neck is not a perfect fit, some neck pocket adjustment may be required, such as using a shim or carefully removing a small amount of material. Guitar Anatomy necks are a perfect fit for our bodies, and if a body and neck are purchased together, we test fit them before dispatch.
Can I return a guitar body if it does not fit?
Yes, unused bodies can be returned within 30 days with no problem, provided they are in their original condition. Once a body has been drilled, modified, assembled, reliced, lacquered, oiled or customised, it may not be eligible for return unless faulty. Please check compatibility carefully before starting work on the body.
