The 1.5mm brad point drill bit is correctly sized for drilling pilot holes for tuner mounting screws. Its pointed tip helps position the hole accurately and reduces wandering when drilling into the headstock.

Applying a small amount of beeswax to the screw threads reduces friction during installation. This makes the screws easier to drive and helps lower the risk of splitting the wood, damaging the screw heads or snapping the screws.
