Graphite Compound offers the same advantages as pure graphite (Self-lubricating, low friction) without being as fragile and brittle. This creates a great material for guitar and bass nuts, as the graphite allows for easy string movement through the nut slots. This is ideal for when tremolo systems are used as well as creating less wear on the strings overall, reducing breakages.
