Stratocaster Rosewood and Roasted Maple Guitar Neck 70s Large Headstock with Pearl Inlays
Building your dream guitar? Here we have a stunning roasted flame maple 70s Style Stratocaster neck with a rosewood fretboard, vintage cream binding and rectangular pearl inlays. The rosewood used in our necks has an excellent grain and colour. The fretboard is hand finished in our fretboard conditioning oil for super smooth playing. All other parts of the neck are finished with a clear satin Nitro that gives the neck a silky smooth fast playing feel. This neck uses our new Pro Series fret installation technique that allows for perfectly spherical rounded fret ends.
This neck comes with pre-drilled stepped machine head holes, perfect for vintage-style tuners. Please see the diagram below.
What is Roasted Maple?Â
Our roasted maple necks undergo a kiln drying process which involves heating the wood to over 200 degrees in a special kiln, removing the moisture from the wood. This process vulcanizes the wood, making it stronger. The big advantage is that after this process, the wood becomes much less susceptible to moisture and climate changes, resulting in a more stable and predictable piece of wood. This is great for necks, especially, and will minimize the need for adjustments between seasons and different weather conditions. An extra added bonus from this process is that, while stabilizing figured maple, which is typically not so stable, it also greatly enhances the colour and figure in the wood. The finished product usually looks stunning, has improved tone and increased sustain!
All of our necks also come with bone nuts and 2-way truss rods installed.
This neck is perfect as an upgrade as if you are building your own parts caster. No expense has been spared in terms of the materials used in this amazing neck.
