What is Roasted Maple?
Our roasted maple necks undergo a special kiln drying process which involves heating the wood to over 200 degrees in a special kiln, removing the moisture from the wood. This process vulcanizes the wood, making it stronger. The big advantage is that after this process, the wood becomes much less susceptible to moisture and climate changes, resulting in a more stable and predictable piece of wood. This is great for necks, especially, and will minimize the need for adjustments between seasons and different weather conditions. An extra added bonus from this process is that, while stabilizing figured maple, which is typically not so stable, it also greatly enhances the colour and figure in the wood. The finished product usually looks stunning, has improved tone and increased sustain!
All of our necks also come with bone nuts and 2-way truss rods installed.
This neck is perfect as an upgrade or if you are building your own parts caster. No expense has been spared in terms of the materials used in this amazing neck.

Fantastic neck. The overhang on the 22nd fret needed to be skimmed slightly to fit over a standard telecaster guard. Other than this the neck went on well. The 2 way truss rod is a great addition. The AAA flame is stunning and the satin finish is very smooth under the hand. The profile is very comfortable. The frets on mine were level, and a minimal amount of work was required to get it playing. Looks great teamed with aged in line kluson tuners. The peg holes needed to be reamed out slightly to fit the bushes, but a simple job so long as you take your time. Recommmend!
