After the overwhelming success of the silver series the team have been working on a more aggressive pickup that packs more of a punch for heavier genres.
Introducing Fuzzy Duck™ Black Series
These handmade pickups are designed to produce a crunchier modern sound but can still be dialed back for more classic Strat tones.
Made with Alnico V poles, these pickups have a flat modern stager and produce a glassy crunch without sounding thin or brittle. These pickups are slightly overwound for a higher output offering a stronger harmonics, perfect for modern rock and grunge.
For the Black Duck Series, The middle pickup is RWRP (reverse wind reverse polarity) for hum-cancelling in positions 2 & 4. Whilst the bridge pickup is overwound to give a hotter output which helps to provide tonal balance to the set.
The Black Series come wax potted and have waxed cloth wire as per vintage Fender Spec.
