CTS Push-Pull Potentiometers – 250K / 500K (Logarithmic Taper, DPDT)

CTS pots are the long-established, number one choice for reliable guitar electronics. Made in the USA and built to tight tolerances, they offer a smooth, predictable sweep and stable resistance values. Ideal for rewires, upgrades, and new builds where dependable control is required.

This push-pull model adds a compact DPDT switch to the standard CTS pot, allowing coil-splits, series/parallel wiring, phase switching, and other common modifications without drilling extra holes. The shorter body depth and side-mounted contacts make it suitable for guitars with shallower control cavities.

This model uses a 6 mm knurled split shaft with a 24-tooth fine spline and a 9.5 mm threaded brass bushing. The rotation is clean and consistent, with minimal mechanical noise.

Why Logarithmic Taper?

Logarithmic (A Taper) pots follow the natural response of the human ear. Adjustment begins gently before becoming more pronounced further into the turn, giving a familiar and usable volume sweep.

Available Versions

• 250K Logarithmic (A Taper): Commonly used with single-coil pickups.

• 500K Logarithmic (A Taper): Preferred for humbuckers, helping maintain clarity and top-end brightness.
